Spring of Hope - 2015

Donors, supporters and fundraisers, thank you for your generous contribution and huge thanks to Julia’s Village for organizing “Spring of Hope” Gala.

What a wonderful evening! The team’s motivation  was reflected in people’s spirit; the room was filled with high enthusiasm and synergy. Besides engendering feelings of closeness, the event  connected people as part of a combined effort to a common goal: Julia’s future.

Special thanks!

Dear Julia's friends,

With contributions from Spring of Hope Gala, Julia's family made a donation to the research lab focused on CDKL5 disorder . We received the following message from Alysson Renato Muotri, Ph.D. , Associate Professor , Dept. of Pediatrics & Cellular Molecular Medicine, University of California, San Diego:

I would like to personally thank you all that participated and contributed to Julia’s “Spring of Hope” Gala. The scientific path is not easy: it takes time, resources and lots of passion. The scientists working in my lab to find treatments for Cdkl5 are committed to the results. We believe we have a strong and promising working model to make an impact on this disease. Your donation will go directly to support this research."

From all of us at Julia's Village, many thanks and keep HOPE in your heart !

We thank Leo Popescu for this beautiful video and his message! "This has been a humbling experience and we were thrilled to be a part of it and be able to help out. We were very impressed by the people in attendance that came out to have a good time and support such a great cause at the same time. Very impressive as well were all the volunteers that came together and organized everything perfectly. We love you Julia, wish you much health and hope to have the next get together for you as you beat the odds"

Another donation has been sent to Italy, to the laboratory of  Prof. Elisabetta Ciani, Servizi alla Ricerca

Dipartimento di Scienze Biomediche e NeuroMotorie, Via Ugo Foscolo, 7 - 40123 Bologna. We are supporting Prof. Ciani's project, “Therapies for CDKL5 disorder".
