With contributions from Spring of Hope Gala, Julia's family made a donation to the research lab focused on CDKL5 disorder . We received the following message from Alysson Renato Muotri, Ph.D. , Associate Professor , Dept. of Pediatrics & Cellular Molecular Medicine, University of California, San Diego:
“I would like to personally thank you all that participated and contributed to Julia’s “Spring of Hope” Gala. The scientific path is not easy: it takes time, resources and lots of passion. The scientists working in my lab to find treatments for Cdkl5 are committed to the results. We believe we have a strong and promising working model to make an impact on this disease. Your donation will go directly to support this research."
